Our English Department (at NJCU, soon to be Kean Jersey City) is a tight-knit community of teaching and learning, committed to offering an outstanding student experience. Our several undergraduate programs enable you to focus on the areas that best align with your interests and career goals, and our attentive faculty are here to guide you. Among our array of student activities, the department publishes student-run journals and organizes student-led scholarly and creative presentations鈥攇iving students the opportunity to gain experience and have their voices heard.
Our faculty members have a range of research interests and you can find their work in textbooks, monographs, journals鈥攊ncluding some of the discipline鈥檚 most prestigious publications. But more important, you can most often find our faculty among the students, sparking discussions, hosting panels and celebrating student successes. From the Writers Work series to social gatherings to Recognition Day, our department actively engages students in activities that augment learning and bring students together.
