New Insights Into Antibody Neutralization of Human Astrovirus

Join us for the next Journal of Virology Seminar Series, where Rebecca DuBois, Ph.D., and graduate student Adam Lentz will present their recent studies on human astrovirus interactions with neutralizing antibodies. Human astroviruses are non-enveloped, positive-sense, single-stranded RNA (+ssRNA) viruses that are widespread and best known for their role in diarrheal disease in children and older adults. This webinar will feature recent work by the DuBois laboratory to understand, in molecular detail, where neutralizing antibodies target human astroviruses and how these interactions block a key step in virus infection. The webinar will end with a broader perspective on how these studies may inform vaccine development.
